Carson Converse
Passage no. 7
Passage no. 7
"Passage no. 7" by Carson Converse won Second Place - Minimalist Design at QuiltCon 2025.
Artist Statement: "The Passage series is a personal meditation on time - reflections on manufactured urgency, aging, and our relative insignificance. In my art practice, I am chasing the sense of awe and calm associated with expanded perspectives - like gazing at the ocean or viewing the earth from the sky. I use repetition, order, visual complexity, and beauty in a futile attempt to translate the sublime into cloth."
