Artist Statement: "In my work, I strive to strip away noise until I find the essence of a piece. My goal is to create pieces that are simple, yet rich with detail - pieces that invite the viewer to stop, breathe, and look closer. My hope is that the work unfolds as a viewer interacts with it.
Grids and stripes are common motifs in my work as they remind me of units of time. I am particularly drawn to horizontal stripes, which remind me of rock strata. This series is a personal meditation exploring the vastness of time."
