The quilt takes its name and shape from "unicellular organisms belonging to the genus Paramecium of the phylum Ciliophora" While the scientific nature of its title may go over a few people's heads, the craftsmanship and detail put into every stitch will be lost on no one. Take a look at the detail photo and just try and count all the stitches you see. You'll probably get lost after the first thousand or so.
