"Oscar" is the quilt that started Cathy Wiggins down her path to making leather quilts.
Cathy wanted the quilt to look like a leather-bound book but didn't know how to accomplish that with regular cotton fabrics. So her friend told her to just use actual upholstery leather, and that's what she did. From there, a journey of making leather quilts was kicked off and she didn't turn back. Oscar the dragon himself is painted on the quilt, but the binding of the book is leather.
