Lola Jenkins captures the spirit of an "Old Lady" in this quilt. Her eyes tell the story of all that she's seen.
One day Lola got a piece of paper and drew an oval because she wanted to practice quilting that day. After getting the oval down, and deciding that her drawing capabilities weren't that good, Lola decided to draw some eyes and a mouth and went from there. She then appliquéd around the eyes and mouth to create the nose, not knowing exactly how to make one. From this doodling and quilting the Old Lady was born.
