Offsetis one of the quilts that Audrey made in the summer of 2018 when she was hopeful that she would have a quilt juried into QuiltCon. She enteredOffsetin with the hopes of it making the cut, and Audrey considers it her first original design. It in turn spawned a series, which Audrey had never worked in before. Her original thinking being,"Why would I make something again when I've already made something that looks kind of like that?"She realized quickly that that was a naïve approach because she needed all these quilts in a series to express all the different ideas that she had.
