"North Rim, Grand Canyon" by Sandra Mollon was inspired by a visit she took to the Grand Canyon.
After visiting the Grand Canyon several years ago, Sandra was inspired by the beauty of the area to create a quilt to match it. Out of that burst of creativity, North Rim, Grand Canyon was born. As the basis for the quilt, Sandra used a photo by John Slot with his permission.
Artist Statement: "Also derived from a photo by the amazing John Slot, this wonderful quilt has hand dye painted sky fabric, and is collaged cotton hand dyed and batik fabrics."
