"Nest" by Colleen Butler won First Place in the Hexagon Challenge at Quiltcon 2022.
Artist Statement: "My quilt contains 14 hexagons of differing sizes which are 'nested' one into the other. Each hexagon is offset by a third which creates a spiral which moves inwards or outwards depending on how one looks at it. Ombré fabric and stripes of varying widths were used to differentiate between the layers and create movement."
