Collage style, semi realistic wallhanging of zebras in nature
I love animals and always wanted a Zebra quiilt. After taking a Sandra Mollon class and using one her patterns it seemed I needed to try the technique with my own design and photo. I found a lovely zebras photo that was copyright free and decided this would be the one. I love how her collage, inking, and stitching produced this lovely wallhanging for me. I like to tweek things a bit to take away a bit of the realism so that is why the dots on the head of one of the zebras. Some may not like but for me it was just what I needed. Loved how it turned out and the background fabric I used really seemed to make the zebras pop. Very happy with the results and thank Sandra for sharing her information with me and giving me the courage to continue on.
