This quilt was inspired by Tulla Pink's quilt 'Trellis' in her book 'City Sampler 100 Modern Quilt Blocks'.
I saw the quilt in Tulla's book and just couldn't resist. I used a quilting block from Kreations by Kara to quilt each block and designed the sashing quilting myself. The quilt top was pieced by machine and quilted using embroidery software, a machine with embroidery unit and a large embroidery hoop. Two hundred and twenty six hooping later (not counting the many re-hoopings) it was finished. It was the perfect way to use up a lot of the fat quarters that had been lurking in my workroom for far too many years.
