My Hunter's Star
My Hunter's Star
This quilt is the result of a class I took at one of our local quilt shops in 2016. My main purpose in taking the class was to improve my piecing skills, especially points, and there are plenty of points in this pattern. At the time, I had no other reason for making a quilt so finishing it was never a priority. I did send the top to an excellent longarmer, but I neglected to bind it until this year. Now that it's complete, I love it! I like the autumn colors that I chose, the pattern, and the size of the quilt, which is perfect for snuggling under while watching TV or reading. I even like the crinkly texture that came from washing it. I still have a whole stack of quilt tops that need to be quilted and a "new-ish" longarm machine that I haven't yet mastered, but this quilt has inspired me to believe that I can create beautiful quilts if I just make myself finish them!
