Artist Statement: "...was picking my own fabrics; using turned edge appliqué; hand stitching Every Single Piece; machine stitching the Shoofly Blocks; using machine embroidery on special blocks; hand embroidering some vines and stems. I machine quilted with computer. Creating this lovely quilt was My Happy Place."
