This quilt is a 'reverse' color trapunto of my own design. It is completely hand done.
The idea for this quilt came from a mystery book I once read. The description of the gardens of a Mrs. Cavendish, including peacocks, sounded so lovely that I wanted to be there, have tea and chat with the roses. That was a fantasy, of course, so I decided to fashion a quilt to bring parts of the garden to my own personal space. The peacock is featured in the quilt because it was a prime part of Mrs. Canendish's Garden.
