My log cabin quilt was inspired by the Sisters Mountains in Oregon.
I pieced these log cabin blocks before my second child was born in 1996. After visiting Sisters, Oregon more than 20 years later, I was inspired by the Three Sisters mountains to put the blocks together in three peaks. I pulled out the fabric I'd purchased way in the late 90's for binding and remembered the nice lady who cut the fabric for me. She mentioned she'd designed the fabric and I thought that was cool. The nice lady was Jean Wells.
