Mount Rainier - Raw-edge applique postcard or Mount Rainier, Washington. I began with a digital photograph and created a pattern on my computer by drawing the features I wanted to include. Embellishments include free-motion stitching to create the details of the mountain, trees and fields in the valley. I created the postcard back by printing on fabric for the information about the postcard front, and stitching the lines for addressing and the postage stamp.
