Artist Statement: "Morgana, Welsh for "bright sea creature," leaves her cave, and dances across the sea floor and through the kelp forest. Inspired by Sy Montgomery's book, The Soul of an Octopus, the most challenging aspect was depicting an undersea world that I have never visited. Hand appliquéd, some machine piecing, hand quilted."
