Momentum

Momentum

"Momentum" by Michaela Romesburg won First Place in the Windham Artisan Cottons Fabric Challenge at QuiltCon 2026.

Artist Statement: "I always feel best when I find the right momentum that provides balance and ease; finding that sweet spot when working on a project or task is optimal. I hope this quilt translates the feeling of just the right amount of momentum through shape and color. Laying out the stripes from a dark center to light borders creates the illusion of depth and movement. Techniques used are FPP based on the classic log cabin block."
