"Molly Mosquito" is one of Beth Cunningham's trademark bug "quilts", which features a framed embroidered bug.
Molly Mosquito features, as Beth puts it, "the only good mosquito in the world," as she hates mosquitos. Molly was created from an illustration that Beth made based on photographs and examining real mosquitos. It features embroidery, appliqué, beading, and trapunto quilting, and is housed within a glass frame. Molly is a tiger mosquito, scientific name: Aedes Albopictex.
