Midnight in the Garden of Good and Nou'veau
Midnight in the Garden of Good and Nou'veau - This is my entry into the 2010 New Quilts from an Old Favorite contest at the National Quilt Museum. It was selected as a finalist, which means that it will be hanging in the quilt museum, whether or not I win an award, during quilt week in Paducah.
This year's contest theme was the sunflower block and the challenge was to take this traditional block and use it in an innovative way.
This quilt reflects my love of all things Art Nouveau. There is trapunto work and I quilted it using Superior black metallic thread.
