"Metamorphosis" is a beautiful foundation paper pieced quilt by Terry Smith.

Artist Statement: "This year I participated in a project that helps save Monarch butterfiles. When my girlfriend challenged me to enter a quilt in Quiltcon 2022, of course I accepted. I thought, what can I make that is significant? That makes a statement? Metamorphosis spoke to me, loud and clear, make this quilt.

Quilted by: Metamorphosis was machine quilted by Nellie Van de Ven. She quilted exactly as I hoped, dense pebbles below and around her body, lightly quilted in her body, and the top was quilted in a manner to create motion."

Techniques: Machine Pieced, Machine Quilted on a frame (longarm), This was completed using the Foundation Paper Piecing method.
