"Magenta Ultralight" by Amy Pabst won First Place - Pieced Wall‚Äã at Road to California 2024.
Magenta Ultralight is going to be Amy's competition piece for the next couple of years. The first summer after she started school, Amy spent over 400 hours making this quilt.
Artist Statement: "I have made over 4,000 log cabin blocks in the past decade but I've never felt like I was doing the same thing over and over. This quilt was foundation pieced on a 1947 Singer Featherweight and machine quilted in the ditch on a Bernina. There are over 17, 000 pieces."
