Marilyn Badger's "Madame Butterfly" won Best of Show at the 2021 Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival.
Marilyn says of Madame Butterfly, "This Claudia Clark Myers design changed dramatically with the addition of 16 hand embroidered Monarch butterflies and lots of hand embroidery and embellishments."
The quilt was pieced and appliquéd by Marilyn and features cotton fabrics, kimono silk thread, embellished with hand embroidery, and Swarovski crystals.
