I was lucky enough to capture a photo of a Luna moth in Gatlinburg when I live there. this is a whole cloth silk quilt. I used a variety of paints, inks and crayons sticks to achieve all the colors. It is quilted in and invisafil and YLI silk 100wt. Metallic threads were hand, nodded to create the antenna and I needle punched specialty threads to achieve the moths fuzzy middle. I started painting the quilt in 2017, fear of quilting on silk and ruining it held me up a Quilt was finally finished in 2023.
