My version of the 2021 Sew Along with Dee of Jen Kingwell's Long Time Gone
I joined the 2021 Sew Along with Dee Christopher using Jen Kingwell's pattern Long Time Gone. It was great motivation to have Dee's video chats each week - otherwise I might have gotten bogged down with 169 1" squares for the Around the World Block! I decided to do my own variation for the borders using hand appliqued vines instead of multi-pieced strips. I looked at a lot of other quilts by Jen and Wendy Williams to get ideas for the flowers, leaves and birds. I love it - my happy quilt for the last months of Covid isolation.
