I purchased the astronaut panel and coordinating NASA fabric for this quilt. I had recently purchased a BERNINA B790+ and was anxious to try my hand a free motion quilting while trying to enhance the panel. I made it for my grandson, Logan, because he had outgrown his baby quilt. He needed another quilt for napping. That was according to his mother, my daughter. He was reluctant when I gave it to him because he still loved this baby quilt, so he made her layer them both on top of him a nap and bed time. This kid knows how to tug at the heart strings!
