"Limbs, Ladders, Roots, and Rocks" by Deborah Boschert was created as part of her "year of ladders".
Limbs, Ladders, Roots, and Rocks started with the red strip in the middle where she wanted to create a line of trees. The quilt was then built up, or "grew" from that red strip to include the rest of the surrounding features like the ladders, roots, and rocks of the title. Deborah says you will find this quilt in the Art Miniature category of judged shows.
