Artist Statement: "I have been intrigued by the beautiful modern quilts over the past year or two. I love the simpler look and negative space. Licorice Ribbons III is the third and largest of a series of predominantly black and white quilts I've made in a modern fashion. Because I usually have some type of dimension in my quilts I chose to trapunto the black and white "ribbons."
