The branches seem to grow out from behind and between the blocks, and the leaves spill out into the borders.
I wanted to make something with a fresh, modern feeling, but not a sparse modern design. So, I went back to my nature-loving self and came up with this. It's made with a mixture of cottons and batiks, raw-edge applique, and minimal quilting. I let the fabrics do the work for this one.
