This is a hand thread painting of 2 year old Kaleb, a friend's grandson. I have machine quilted, appliqued and used couching on this piece. The gold holly and berries are appliqued. The pom pom on the Santa hat is turkey work, a technique I learned when I was doing crewel embroidery many years ago. There are also two little yellow buttons on his shirt.
