"Joy" by Cole Whitaker won Second Place - Piecing at QuiltCon 2024.
Artist Statement: "This quilt was designed based on a picture that I took of a friend. I designed the quilt, pieced it, quilted it, and designed some of the fabrics that were included in it. I named the quilt Joy because that is what the picture embodies to me."

"A Celebration of Color" Exhibit Description: "Whatever your style...quilt colorfully! This annualy judged competition is for those who like to play with color to create a vibrant work in a variety of styles. There are quilts made by hand or machine, appliquéd, pieced, or wholecloth. This exhibit features winners and finalists from the 2023 show."
