While in Cuba a took many inspirational photos. One in particular was a mural of Jimi Hendrix where 45 records had been used to make his Afro. I was asked what quilt I would make from my trip by my fellow travelers and when I got home I knew. Our Guild had a challenge to use selvages in a quilt and I wasn't coming up with an idea for almost a year. I quickly began Jimi with his selvage Afro as soon as I got home from Cuba.
