Made for my birthday cruise to Alaska to cross Sitka off my bucket list. 9/18/, 2023 in Sitka I turned 80.
This started with a book of Alaska themed blocks. Then I found an Alaska fabric panel to add to the design. Also included are the pieces from an online Seminole piecing glass I took that year. I made the blocks at 4 inches finished instead of the 6 inches the book used - thank you Electric Quilt. I cut the panel to incorporate it into the design. The blocks and the Seminole piecing units are batiks. I have made, probably close to 100 of these jackets, but this is my favorite so far.
