Artist Statement: "This bear was bored...so bored he swam out to a boat off the coast of Svalbard, Norway, where my friend, Kasey Carrothers, had been observing him. This rare and precious encounter, gave me the perfect subject for my first workshop with Sandra Mollon. I've worked in textile collage before. (Thanks, Susan Carlson!) Sandra's methodology was a perfect fit for me. It will take the passionate actions of the entire world to save our precious Ice Bears."
