A mosaic quilt with more than 5,000 pieces cut on a digital cutter.
Heidi created this quilt based on a photograph taken when she was pregnant with her second child. It captures a wonderful moment when her daughter gave a flower to her soon-to-be baby sister and asked, "Is she ready yet?" Heidi used an original technique that begins with a hand-drawn mosaic design, which is then traced and cut with a digital cutter. There are more than 5000 individual pieces fused and quilted onto the quilt. Is She Ready Yet? won First Place - People, Portraits, and Figures at the Houston International Quilt Festival 2018.
