Iris Rhapsody by Jane Karhu Powers won Third Place - Small Wall Quilts: 1st Entry in an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest
From AQS: "Jane Karhu Powers, who won 3rd Place in the Small Wall Quilts: 1st Entry in an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest sponsored by The Applique Society, visits with Bonnie Browning about her quilt. Jane's quilt, Iris Rhapsody, is based on Ricky Tim's Rhapsody Quilt book. Jane used the double blanket stitch to appliqué and Ricky's Razzle Dazzle thread that is stitched from the back of the quilt to outline the pieces."
Ricky himself had this to say about Iris Rhapsody, "Congratulations again Jane. And it wasn't clear... but Jane designed all of her quilt. All the shapes and appliqué were hers 100%."
