Designed this quilt for the Modern Meets Modern Challenge at the IWM in Lincoln, NE, one of the top ten!
Designed for the Modern Meets Modern at the IQM in Nebraska. It is a combination of paper piecing and applique. The inspiration came from the Carpenters Wheel quilt. Size was limited to 16" square. I wanted to do something that varied in some as well as color. To add interest, I made some squares and some circles. The size of this quilt was a challenge. I don't do small, respectably small pieced quilts. It took two shots to get it to look like I wanted it to. Straight line quilting was a nice counterpoint to the design.
