Artist Statement: "The hand is the indispensable tool common to quilters, basket makers, and lace makers, interpreting their creative intention. I pay tribute to it in this work by intertwining and combining noble, ordinary, or more rustic materials and techniques specific to quilting, basketry, and bobbin lace - the arts of fiber."
