Inspiration: "With this quilt I have tried to show the beauty of a sunset over the Riva del Vin in Venice, trying to give it the appearance of an impressionist painting, blurring the real contours. I don't know if I have achieved my goal, but this is the result."
Materials: Fabrics most of them hand-dyed by me, Thread, Batting
Technical Information: Appliqué and quilting by domestic machine
Festival of Quilts Judge's Statement: "We were drawn by the light in to this market scene. The striking choice of colour creates perfect balance. We would all love to take this quilt home!"
