"I Walked Toward Him Like A Moon Princess..." won First Place-Small Wall Quilts: 1st Entry an AQS Paducah Quilt Contest.
Natalia Lashko says that I Walked Toward Him Like A Moon Princess...is inspired by Ukrainian folk songs, some being about love and others about painful love. Her quilt is about painful love because the subject cannot be with the one she loves, with the red fabric representing love and passion and the blue depicting ice that means they cannot be together. The most spectacular thing about the quilt though, is that it is ENTIRELY HANDMADE!
