This is a quilt showing my Grandparents' farm. The farm was torn down last year so I finished the quilt.
Home Place is a quilt of my Grandparents' farm in Minnesota. We spent so many memorable days at the farm as kids and loved it. Recently the farm was torn down, so I knew I had to put the photo to stitch. The adventure was to search out all the fabrics needed to replicate the scene. The fabric choices created most of the shading in the house and barn, but I had to use a shading pencil on the barn to create afternoon shade.
