Timna Tarr created a quilt based on Holyoke, Mass., one of the country's first planned industrial cities. In "Holyoke 1938", she used the juxtaposition of the natural river and the planned gridded streets as design inspiration. She also noted where her house is just across the river.
"Holyoke 1938" won 3rd Place Small Quilts at QuiltCon 2016.
