"Height of Summer" by Laura Forster won First Prize - Complete Beginners at the 2022 Birmingham Festival of Quilts.
Inspiration: "I drew a sketch of this quilt whilst on a zoom lecture with Shelia Frampton-Cooper organised by the Guild. I was inspired by the colours and abstract nature of her work. I created this piece with lots of diagonal to try and draw the eye around the piece with the lines being pulled into the centre."
