Artist Statement: "Greater than the Sum... reflects my belief that the wonderful diversity of human traits, talents, traditions, and cultures are our strength and should be celebrated. I began working with the color magenta and continued printing a variety of bold colors and unique motifs. Hand embroidery was added to create additional interest. Viewed together, the whole is indeed greater than the sum of its parts. The fabric was printed using Procion Dyes."
