Gertie - This is an applique and reverse applique portrait of Gertie - made as a gift from the owner to her sister to commemorate her sister's dog. I used the sister's favorite photo - this dog looking up at the camera from below with her nose the most prominent feature. The owner told me that Gertie had a Scooby-Doo aspect, and that I caught it in this quilt.
