"Garden Delights" is a quilt that Annie Smith designed to teach for students in North Carolina.
Garden Delights was made be Annie to teach for her first year as a teacher at the John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina. With a Carolina Lily, butterflies, and more, each of the elements of the quilt contains a different technique for her students to learn.
Artist Statement: "The Garden Delights quilt is a wonderful blend of pieced blocks and appliqué. The techniques that craft the quilt are a combination of template piecing, Y-seam construction, drafting and creating your own templates and machine appliqué."
