Many flowers sewn by hand on 7.5" blocks with a flower border and flower quilting.
I am always inspired by the beautiful needle-turn appliq√∫e quilts I repair from that are over 100 years old. "Fleuri" is French for many/full of flowers. I am more successful at growing fiber flowers than those in nature, so I decided to make a quilt full of them. Each block is 7.5". Blocks are machine sewn together by machine. It took one year to complete this large quilt as I switched back and forth from various quilting projects. I hope to keep this quilt in my family as an heirloom that will last for many years. This is my first needle-turn applique quilt. I am excited to create and make many more.
