They take their inspiration from wood carvings featured in the Bamberg Cathedral in Bamberg, Germany, which was built in the 13th century. Using hand appliqué, machine piecing, and hand quilting, Lahala has brought these designs to life in her quilt for everyone to see and enjoy.
