"Florally" by Heather Heck was featured in the Modern Traditionalism category at QuiltCon 2023.
Artist Statement: "Florally was inspired by a challenge to design a quilt using mainly curves. The traditional petal and circle blocks are combined to create a flower block. These flower blocks are then placed in such a way that an abstract flower can also be seen in the overall design. I don't typically use bright colors or curves so the design and fabric choices were a step outside of my comfort zone and a great chance for growth."
