Floral Glass Blocks - A friend made a deal with me. Since she was going to be unable to do anymore quilting. She would trade me her stash and in return I make her a quilt for her bed. Last fall when the first installment of fabric arrived It was mostly florals. While I'm thinking, what am I going to do with this? My mom is looking at each one and saying, this is nice, oh this is nice. so I decided I would make mom a lap quilt for Christmas.
I made lots of half square triangles and 3-d flying geese and made blocks of all the different floral fabrics. Then deciding it was missing something, it just wasn't me, I added the flowers. I used wool batting for the first time and have decided I love it.
And mom loves her quilt.
