I found this pattern in a quilt magazine. I don't care for the Dresden pattern, but I really liked this one.
I liked this particular use of the Dresden plate pattern, plus it gave me an opportunity to practice my free motion quilting skills using my home sewing machine. This was made entirely from scraps I had on hand. Patter came from June 2021 issue of APQ magazine. I added the appliqué embellishment using a machine blanket stitch on the Dresden blades. I also used my own free motion quilt design.
